The catalogue for my 54th postal auction (mail bid sale) closing 8 February 2012 is now shown in the postal auction section of the website. Bids can be placed on line (in the secure bid area) or if you prefer by post, fax, e-mail or telephone. Auction 54 is packed full of nice material including a postcard (lot 2098) which went on both Scott and Shakletoms's expeditions between 1908 and 1913 with 2011 RPSL certificate and original provenance from Kinsey. The stamp section contains the usual good selection with better GB and New Zealand and a fair range of Gulf material. The non commonwealth section has good ranges of China, German Colonies, Iceland, Italy and Italian Libya and a nice forgery of Zurich 4r SGZ4 with 2011 RPSL certificate. Postal Stationery section contains a good range of material with the GB items now split into sections per Huggins & Baker catalogue. Postal History includes another range of 1937 Coronation covers (which were well received in the October 2011 auction) along with interesting items from Antigua, Montserrat, 300+ year old GB entire and usual range of Military covers including better Bahrain and Iraq covers. The auction closes with a nice range of books mainly dealing with airmail matters.
